Office InformationLeague office hours are 10:00 AM to 6:00 PM Sunday through Thursday.  The league phone number is (408) 873-7665 and the e-mail address is playpool@southbayapa.com. 

FeesWeekly team fees are $40 per team including any session ending playoff.  Checks are accepted however there is a $20 fee for all returned checks.  Any payment in coin form will result in no bonus points being awarded.

Adding PlayersTeams may add or drop players from the roster at any time during the session except the last 4 weeks of the session.  Teams qualified for the Local Team Championship may not add players after the 4th week in the spring session.  All players added after the 4th week must pay APA membership the first night of play, or the match will be forfeited and the player will not be added to the roster.  Players will not be marked paid until a completed membership application is received by the league office.

Starting a new FormatSkill levels of players with less than 10 matches are not transferred to another format.  These players play their first match in the new format as new players.   

Cue SticksA player cannot play a match with anything other than the tipped end of a cue stick.  The butt end of the cue, broomsticks, mops, etc. will not be allowed.  In the event that an unmovable obstacle prevents a player from making a shot, the player can use a shorter cue stick for that shot only.

Bonus PointsEach team will receive 1 bonus point in 8 Ball and 10 bonus points in 9 Ball for a neat and correctly completed score sheet and current on all league fees.  Refer to the team manual for instruction to fill out the score sheet correctly.

Playing a Player TwiceIf a team has less than 5 players or the 5 players present can not meet the 23 rule it is up to the opposing team if they want to take a forfeit or choose a player to play twice.

CoachingIt is acceptable for a player to switch coaches in the middle of a match.

Match and Practice TablesFor teams playing in establishments that rent tables by the hour, the league has arranged a flat fee of $10/team for 1 match table.  The league has no agreement with these host locations to provide a practice table or to offer a special rate for practice tables.

Splitting MatchesIf a match is not in the 3rd match after 1 ½ hours of play a second match table must start if one is available.  If no extra tables are available the home team shall use their practice table for a second match table.  All 5 matches should be completed in under 3 hours and 45 minutes.

Tri Annual TournamentsTri Annual Tournaments are held at the end of each session and determine who advances to the Local Team Championships.  The top 2 teams from the summer and fall tri annual tournaments advance to the Local Team Championship.  The top 4 teams from the spring tri annual tournament advance to the Local Team Championship.  Players need at least 8 matches to compete in the session ending Tri Annual Tournaments.

Local Team ChampionshipsThe Local Team Championship is held once a year and determines who will compete in the National Team Championship.  All Players must have 10 matches to compete in the Local Team Championship. 

Make Up Matches - Make up matches must be completed within 3 weeks of the originally scheduled match and prior to the last two weeks of the session.  The league office will mandate a make up match to be scheduled and played if at least 24 hours notice is given.
